- A software business solving the employee experience problem
- Sales Development Role with progression opportunities
Ever wished you felt more engaged at work? Appreciated, almost like your employer cared about you outside just your job? The Perkbox software solves these problems.
Before we go on, let me say, I know you, dear person reading this job, have many options. The job market is flying. So why would you apply here?
It’s a good question.
Firstly, you’ll receive immediate feedback on your application- a call within 48 hours to discuss it.
Secondly, the company is like a start up, within an established business. The APAC arm is set for serious growth over the next 2 years.
Thirdly, if you do think that businesses can engage their staff better, you’ll be working with a product that actively solves this problem.
Lastly, the pay is above market rate and includes uncapped commissions.
But here is the story…
In August 2020, Perkbox called me. They were hiring (when no one else was!) because companies had recognised that their employee engagement software platform was more valuable than ever- what with everyone working from home and all.
Fast forward to January 2022, and the growth is continuing. Perkbox has released new products and is growing across Sales, Customer Success and Partnerships.
Today we’re here to talk to Sales Development Representatives (or, people who want to be a Sales Development Representative).
- Terrific communication skills
- 1 + years of experience in a sales role
- A hunger to succeed in a tech sales capacity
You’ll be targeting businesses that employ 250-2500 people, contacting key decision makers, introducing the Perkbox platform and identifying companies where there is a solid need.
You’ll cold call, cold email, made qualification calls, sit in demos with the AEs, handle objections and get some great training. Your positive attitude will also contribute to the culture at Perkbox. You’ll have targets to hit- setting up his AEs with about 15 demos a month.
Perkbox has raised $30m since it was founded in 2016. They employ almost 200 people globally. They practice what they preach, offering great perks for staff, including 25 days of leave a year (an extra week!).
Their Sydney office is expanding rapidly, and as such they are looking to add 2 Sales Development Representatives to their team this quarter. As well as a few other roles.
The OTE for this role is competitive and in line with market expectations for SDRs- with a solid base salary.
So where to from here?
If you have more than 1 year of experience in sales, and are interested in tackling the problem of employee experience- send in your application. We’ll be back in touch within 48 hours.
