- Work with a funded company that has a global footprint
- Sales Development Role with progression opportunities
I met Mike* in February of 2020 (the good old, pre-covid days!) He didn’t have technology sales experience, and he wasn’t a cold calling sales machine, but he did have
- Terrific communication skills
- A variety of experience that showed he was a team player who clearly worked hard
- A hunger to succeed in a tech sales capacity
The rest is history. I reached out to Mike*, introduced him to Perkbox and a couple of interviews later he accepted an offer as a Sales Development Representative.
12 months down the track, Mike* is killing it. Why?
He’s done a great job of targeting businesses that employ 250-2500 people, contacting key decision makers, introducing the Perkbox platform and identifying companies where there is a solid need.
He’s cold called, cold emailed, made qualification calls, sat in demos with the AEs, handled objections and had some great training. His positive attitude has also contributed to the culture at Perkbox. He’s also hit his targets- setting up his AEs with about 15 demos a month.
So why did Mike* like Perkbox?
Perkbox has raised $30m since it was founded in 2016. They employ almost 200 people globally. They practice what they preach, offering great perks for staff, including 25 days of leave a year (an extra week!).
Their Sydney office is expanding rapidly, and as such they are looking to add 2 Sales Development Representatives to their team this quarter. As well as a few other roles.
The OTE for this role is competitive and in line with market expectations for SDRs- with a solid base salary.
So be like Mike*! Reach out to me. Tell me how you want to break into tech sales. Help me understand the perks of hiring you.
*name has been changed to protect this person’s identity. Also definitely not Michael Jordan.
