Job Description


My first experience in recruitment had some genuine positives.
  • Solid, structured ongoing internal training
  • A good direct manager (if you’re reading, thanks Deacs!)
  • It was an international brand 
After about 2 and a half years, these positives were outweighed by
  • Morning meetings where I had to say who I was calling that day
  • A set of KPIs that made me feel like I was doing activity for the sake of it- not to actually fill roles
  • Very limited control over my time- had to be at the desk at 8:30am latest, could take lunch between 12pm and 2pm only, and needed special permission to leave before 6pm on the dot. 
So I left recruitment in 2013- and then I set up Recruitmore in March of 2015. We do Recruitment without the BS.
 
The last few years have seen us really hit our straps- we made a profit through COVID in the 20/21 FY, and have seen significant growth in this FY to date. So we’re hiring for the 2nd time since August for a full time, permanent recruitment consultant.
 
Responsibilities
  • Manage client relationships, from job briefings to placements, and again. We work with technology businesses, funded, private, and publicly listed. You’ll deal with Sales Managers and Directors, HR people (we love you) and Founders.
  • Work with candidates- from finding them through any means necessary, to qualifying them for jobs we’re working through calls and interviews, to preparing them for interviews, to getting feedback from interviews, to never ghosting them whatsoever.
  • Deliver direct feedback- to our team internally, to clients and to candidates- this is a big part of Recruitment without the BS.
  • Put everything (everything) into JobAdder, so we don’t have to ask the same person the same question twice
  • Bring a positive attitude to work every day
What’s in it for you?
  • A base salary between $80,000-$100,000, + superannuation (commensurate with experience)
  • A commission scheme designed for the consultant (not Recruitmore)- earned monthly, paid monthly, which hasn’t changed in 4 years. We expect you to make $45,000-$60,000 in commissions each year.
  • Hours that work for you. We don’t clock watch, ask you to check in at the end of the day or measure your lunch minutes. You’re an adult.
  • Access to ongoing external training with Recruitment, Sales and Branding experts
  • A hybrid work environment- 2-3 days a week in the office, 2-3 days a week from home. Open to fully remote for the right person.
  • CLIENTS- we’ve got a great client list, so no mind numbing cold calling, and we’re hiring because we need someone to help us service them. 
Experience required
  • 2 years of experience in Recruitment- either internal or agency
  • A degree
  • Sales specific recruitment experience ideal but not 100% necessary.
